2024 Stand Down Offers Hope and Help to Our Homeless Veterans
The 2024 Stand Down of South Jersey event, co-hosted by the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and Stand Down of South Jersey, provided essential services to 160 individuals in need. The event offered crucial resources such as healthcare, mental health screening, substance abuse counseling, social services including food stamps and unemployment assistance, legal aid, meals, haircuts, and warm winter clothing.
Since its inception in 1996, the South Jersey Stand Down has been a beacon of hope for homeless veterans, serving as a bridge to help them reintegrate into mainstream society.
Your support and involvement in such endeavors are not just acts of kindness but testimonies of unity and compassion towards those who have sacrificed so much for our nation. Let us continue to rally behind our homeless veterans and ensure they receive the care and respect they rightfully deserve.
